Privacy Policy — Dockcut

Dockcut (the "app") is a macOS app made by SYDD Studio. It lets you open the apps in your Dock with keyboard shortcuts. In short, the app collects nothing and sends nothing. It has no network access at all — it cannot connect to the internet — and there is no SYDD Studio server, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third party involved.

1. Information the App Accesses and Why

Your Dock's app list

To know which app is first, second, third in your Dock, the app reads the list of apps pinned to your Dock from macOS's own Dock settings (com.apple.dock). It reads it read-only, at the moment you press a shortcut and when its menu or settings window is open, and uses it only to decide which app to open. It never writes to your Dock settings.

Apps you choose

If you add an app under App Shortcuts, you pick it in the standard macOS file dialog. The app remembers that app's location so the shortcut keeps working.

What the app stores on your Mac

Stored item	Purpose
Shortcut settings	Your chosen modifier keys, the Finder shortcut on/off, and the shortcuts you assigned to apps under App Shortcuts.
App settings	Launch at login, menu bar icon, and HUD (on-screen hint) preferences.

These are kept in the app's own preferences on your Mac and never leave it.

2. Accounts

The app has no account, no sign-in, and never asks for your name, email address, or any other personal detail.

3. Where Your Data Goes

• Nowhere. The app is not permitted to use the network, so nothing can be sent off your Mac.
• Nothing is sent to SYDD Studio. The developer cannot see your Dock, your shortcuts, or whether you use the app at all.
• Nothing is shared with third parties. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or telemetry SDKs.

4. Permissions

The app does not ask for Accessibility, Screen Recording, Input Monitoring, or any other privacy permission. Its global shortcuts use the standard macOS hotkey API, which needs no permission.

5. Removing Your Data

Delete the app to remove it and its preferences. Your Dock and your other apps are never changed by the app.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Your Rights

Because the app does not collect or store your information on any server, there is no server-side data for the developer to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about your privacy rights, including rights under GDPR or CCPA, contact us at the address below.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when necessary. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the revision history below.
