Privacy Policy — Sticky for Google Tasks

Sticky for Google Tasks (the "app") is a macOS desktop app made by SYDD Studio. It shows your Google Tasks in a small always-on-top window. In short, the developer does not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to your data. The app runs entirely on your Mac and talks only to Google's servers. There is no SYDD Studio server, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third party involved.

1. Information the App Accesses and Why

Google Tasks data

With your permission, the app uses the Google Tasks API scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks to read and modify your task lists and tasks. Specifically, it reads and writes:

• your task lists — names and IDs
• your tasks — title, details, completion status, position, and parent/subtask relationship
• tasks you have deleted, so the app can show and restore them

This data is used for one purpose only: to display and edit your tasks in the app's window. It is never used for anything else. Your tasks are not written to disk; they are held in memory only while the app is running.

What the app stores on your Mac

Stored item	Purpose
Google sign-in token	So you do not have to sign in every time. Encrypted with a key held in your macOS Keychain.
App settings	Window position and size, opacity, always-on-top, which task list you last viewed, and whether the Completed and Deleted sections are expanded.

Both are kept in your user Application Support folder and never leave your Mac.

2. Accounts and Sign-in

The app has no account of its own and no sign-up. You sign in with your existing Google Account through your system web browser, using Google's standard OAuth 2.0 flow. The app never sees or handles your Google password — it receives only an access token from Google. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal detail.

3. Where Your Data Goes

• Between your Mac and Google, and nowhere else. Requests go directly from the app to Google's Tasks API over HTTPS.
• Nothing is sent to SYDD Studio. The developer cannot see your tasks, your account, or whether you use the app at all.
• Nothing is shared with third parties. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or telemetry SDKs.

4. Limited Use — Google API Services User Data Policy

The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, the app:

• does not transfer Google user data to any third party;
• does not use Google user data for advertising, or for serving ads of any kind;
• does not use Google user data to build profiles or for any purpose other than providing the app's features;
• allows no human — including the developer — to read your Google user data.

5. Removing Your Data and Revoking Access

• Sign out from the app's menu bar icon → Sign Out. This deletes the stored token from your Mac.
• Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which cuts the app off from your account entirely.
• Delete the app and its data folder at ~/Library/Application Support/sticky-for-google-tasks to remove everything it stored.

Your tasks live in your Google Account, not in the app. Removing the app does not delete any task.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Sharing with Third Parties

The developer does not sell, share, or provide your information to third parties. The app has no third-party SDKs and communicates only with Google's own API endpoints.

8. Your Rights

Because the app does not collect or store your information on any server, there is no server-side data for the developer to access, correct, or delete. All app data lives on your Mac and is removed by the steps in section 5. Data held in your Google Account is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and can be managed in your Google Account settings. 9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when necessary. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the revision history below.
